Common questions
Here’s what clients usually want to know when they first start working with us.
Where are meetings held?
We can meet however suits you best – via video call (Teams or Zoom), in person at our Altrincham office, or we can come to you if that’s more convenient.
Do you have parking?
Yes, our office has parking available for clients.
Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?
No, your first meeting is completely free. It’s an opportunity for us to understand your goals and see how we can help.
What do I need to bring to an initial meeting?
Bring any information you have about existing policies, pensions, or investments, as well as notes on areas you’d like to discuss. The more we know, the better we can advise.
How long should I allow for an initial meeting?
Typically around one hour. This gives us enough time to understand your situation and outline the next steps clearly.
Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?
No, there’s absolutely no obligation. The first meeting is just to explore your options and see how we might work together.
How can I book an initial meeting?
You can get in touch via email or phone, and we’ll arrange a time that suits you.
Are you independent?
Yes, we are fully independent and make recommendations that are in your best interest, without being tied to any specific provider.
Are you regulated?
Yes, we are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), giving you the reassurance that our advice meets strict professional standards.
Can you advise on final salary or defined benefit transfers?
No, we don’t provide this advice directly, but we can connect you with trusted specialists who do.
What happens if my financial adviser is away on holiday?
Our team is always on hand to help. If they can’t answer your query, we’ll ensure another qualified adviser steps in, so you’re never left waiting.
What do you charge for a financial plan?
We charge an initial fee of 2% of assets invested, with a minimum of £3,000 and a maximum of £20,000. This is explained clearly before any work begins.
Do you take a percentage, or are your fees fixed?
We charge a percentage-based fee on invested assets, which aligns our interests with yours and ensures your plan grows as intended.
Do you get commission?
No, we do not take commissions. We charge an upfront fee and an ongoing service fee, meaning our advice is unbiased and focused entirely on your best outcomes.
Do you charge VAT?
No, our fees are not subject to VAT, so what you see is what you pay.
